Quick Navigating and Task Management with Keyboard Shortcuts

Utilizing keyboard shortcuts can greatly increase productivity and reduce the time needed to perform certain tasks.

The following is a table with keyboard shortcuts that can be used within the Google Chrome web browser.

Shortcut Keys	Description Alt+Down Arrow	Display previous text entered in a text box and available options on a drop-down menu. Alt+Home	Open homepage. Alt+Left Arrow	Go back a page. Alt+Right Arrow	Go forward a page. Ctrl+(- or +)	Zoom in or out,"-" (minus) zooms out and "+" (plus) zooms in. Ctrl+0	Reset browser zoom to default. Ctrl+1 - Ctrl+8	Pressing Ctrl and any number 1 through 8 moves to the relativet tab in your tab bar. Ctrl+9	Switch to last tab. Ctrl+A	Select everything on a page. Ctrl+D	Add a bookmark for the currently opened page. Ctrl+Enter	Quickly complete an address. For example, type "kingherald" in the address bar and press Ctrl+Enter to get https://www.kingherald.com. Ctrl+F	Open the "find" bar to search for specifc text on the current page. Ctrl+H	Opens browser history in a new tab or window if using incognito mode. Ctrl+J	Display downloads window. Ctrl+K or Ctrl+E	Move text cursor to the address bar and perform a Google search. Ctrl+L, Alt+D	Move the cursor to the browser address bar and highlight everything in it. Ctrl+Left-click	Open a link in a new tab in the background. Ctrl+N	Open new browser window. Ctrl+O	Open a file in the browser. Ctrl+P	Print current page or frame. Ctrl+Page Down	Open the browser tab to the right. Ctrl+Page Up	Open the browser tab to the left. Ctrl+R or F5	Refresh the current page or frame. Ctrl+S	Open Save As window to save the current page. Ctrl+Shift+B	Toggle the bookmarks bar between hidden and shown. Ctrl+Shift+Delete	Open the clear browsing data window to quickly clear private data. Ctrl+Shift+Left-click	Open a link in a new tab and switch to the new tab. Ctrl+Shift+N	Open a new window in incognito (private) mode. Ctrl+Shift+O	Open the bookmark manager. Ctrl+Shift+T	Reopen the last tab closed. If multiple tabs were closed, pressing this shortcut key combination multiple times will restore each of the closed tabs. Ctrl+Shift+Tab	Move through each of the open tabs going to the left. Ctrl+Shift+W	Close the currently selected window. Ctrl+T	Open a new tab. Ctrl+Tab	Move through each of the open tabs going to the right. Ctrl+U	View a web page's source code. Ctrl+W	Close the current tab. End	Go to the bottom of the page. Esc	Stop loading the page or a download from loading. F11	Display the current website in full-screen mode. Pressing F11 again will exit this mode. Home	Go to the top of the page. Shift+Spacebar	Scroll up current page. Spacebar	Scroll down current page.
