Pokémon Quest Starter Tips
At the beginning are Pokémon. To start your Journey, you will have the option to select Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, or Eevee as your first partner. Who you choose can influence how your adventure plays out.
Pokémon Stats and First Pick
Each Pokémon an attack stat and an HP stat.
· Attack stat determines the damage your Pokémon will inflict on the opposing Pokémon.
· HP stat determines how much damage they can bare to endure.
Charmander has a high attack stat.
Bulbasaur has a high HP stat.
Eevee has a balance of both.
Regardless of who you choose, each starter Pokémon will find one of the earlier areas easier than the others.
Starter Team and Attack Distances
After selecting your first partner, you will get Pidgey and Rattata for your starter team. Pidgey’s attacks are long range while Rattata’s attacks will be close range. All Pokémon will attack from either short range or long range.
Pokémon Types
This Pokémon game differs from others in terms of the effects from type match ups when battling. A water Pokémon battling a fire Pokémon would certainly have the advantage in other Pokémon games, but not this one. You can gain Team Strength based off the type of Pokémon on your team.
No Pokéballs Needed to Catch, Cooking is Required
To attract new Pokémon to join your team, select ingredients to cook by first tapping the Pot at the center of your Base Camp, then select the ingredients. The recipes are design to attract specific Pokémon based on the specific color and texture of the ingredients used. There are also levels to the Pot. The Normal, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Pots are unlocked by completing missions. As the level of the pot increases so does the stat bonus and IV range of the Pokémon that are attracted to the cuisine. The required amount of ingredients needed also increases as the level of the Pot increases.

Pokémon Power and Leveling Up
Completing missions with allow your Pokémon to face more difficult challenges. Don’t worry, your Pokémon get stronger as stages are completed. Completing stages gives the Pokémon experience points, Exp., increasing your Pokémon’s Attack and HP Stats. You’ll also acquire Power Stones that can further increase their stats.
Attack Moves and Limitations
Each Pokémon is restricted to 1 or 2 moves at a time. To attack, tap the moves on either side of your Pokémon’s head on the bottom portion of the screen.
To change the known move set, use Move Training. After completing the Move Training, a new move may or may not be acquired. Moves cannot be selected and are acquired by chance. To increase your chances of gaining a new move, train with the same species of Pokémon.
Defeat or Retreat
Your Pokémon will seek out new foes and battle without your interaction, however if you want to increase their chances of victory, guide their attacks by tapping the icons. This is certainly important to do when the enemies difficulty level increases.
If your team is losing. You have the option to guide them to retreat. Scattering can help your Pokémon avoid charged attacks. While this a good strategy when battling boss Pokémon, don’t underestimate other Pokémon, especially those that can self-destruct. Utilize the scatter and group up functions accordingly.

Log in daily for free PM Tickets, new challenges, and random Pokémon that will show up to your camp. Completing challenges can yield extra ticket and ingredients.
