How to Set Up a Business Account on Instagram

Having an Instagram business account can provide great insight on the content you post, accounts reached, and the content interactions your followers partake in. To make appropriate decisions to effectively grow your account, understanding the type of engagement your account experiences is greatly beneficial.

If you already have a personal account and would rather have a business account instead, switching over is a fairly straight forward process.

Step 1 – Go to your profile and select the 3 bars in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 2 – Select Settings.

Step 3 – Select Account.

Step 4 – Select Switch to Professional Account.

Step 5 – Select Business.

Step 6 (Optional) – Connect your Instagram business account to an associated Facebook page.

Step 7 – Add details for the account.

Step 8 – Select Done.

If you would like to create a totally new account, you can add up to 5 accounts on the same set of credentials. This makes it easier to switch to different accounts without having to log out and log in. Enjoy growing your account!
